Introduction
Your Dedication Deserves Recognition
Every day, our carers make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
The Harmony Homecare Carers of the Year competition has been created to recognise the professionalism, compassion, reliability and commitment shown by our care team.
The standards are simple and achievable: they are the normal professional care standards you already work to every day, set out plainly so everyone knows where they stand.
Carers who meet the mandatory rules are entered into a free prize draw on 15 July 2027, at our 7th Anniversary Party. No purchase, payment, donation or financial contribution is required to enter.

Eligibility & Rules
The eleven mandatory rules
Published and effective from 2 September 2026. These are normal professional care standards — every Harmony carer should be able to qualify.
- 1
Employment
You are an active Harmony Homecare Suffolk employee on 15 July 2027 and your employment with Harmony began on or before 31 December 2026. Carers joining Harmony have one month from their employment start date to register, and in every case no later than 31 December 2026. Approved sickness, maternity or paternity leave, disability-related leave, annual leave and other authorised leave do not break continuous service.
- 2
Missed visits
No avoidable missed visit attributable to you and confirmed after a fair, documented investigation.
- 3
Delay reporting
You notify the office through an approved channel every time you know, or reasonably should know, that you may be late. Notification must be prompt and safe — never use a phone while driving. Pull over safely or call before you set off.
- 4
Medication safety
You report, document and escalate missing or low medication stock during the visit in line with Harmony's Medication Policy, and take all reasonable action within your role to help prevent a client running out.
- 5
Documentation
Care notes, MAR/eMAR entries and mandatory reports are completed accurately and on time.
- 6
Training and supervision
Mandatory training, supervisions and assessments are kept current, or you are following an approved completion plan.
- 7
Respect and dignity
Clients, families, professionals and colleagues are treated respectfully, and you uphold our CREWDRIVE values.
- 8
Team conduct
No substantiated serious or repeated bullying, harassment, discrimination, malicious gossip, or knowingly false statements intended to harm Harmony or another person.
- 9
Confidentiality
No substantiated serious or repeated confidentiality or data-protection breach.
- 10
Social / ambassador contribution
You meet the fair ambassador requirement below — either by sharing posts marked “Carers Holiday Draw – Required Share”, or by completing an equally accessible alternative activity agreed with the office.
- 11
Referral
You make at least one qualifying referral, as defined below. The candidate does not need to be hired.
The social / ambassador requirement
- Only posts explicitly marked “Carers Holiday Draw – Required Share” count towards this requirement.
- There will be no more than one required-share post per week.
- Share the post within seven days of publication.
- Use this disclosure with your share: “I work for Harmony Homecare Suffolk and I am sharing this as part of our employee competition.”
- A direct link or a cropped screenshot is accepted as evidence. We will never ask for your password, full-profile access, or for your profile to be public.
- If you do not use social media, or prefer not to use a personal account, the office will assign a comparable approved ambassador activity — for example supporting a recruitment event, using another agreed channel, or an equivalent Harmony activity. The alternative will never be more burdensome and will never reduce your chances.
We do not publish a sharing leaderboard and we never compare colleagues publicly. Your sharing evidence is held privately by the office and used only to confirm this requirement.
Review, appeal and fairness
Monthly reviews
Documented monthly reviews run through 30 June 2027.
Preliminary checks
Preliminary eligibility checks take place 1–5 July 2027.
Private preliminary decisions
Amber or Red preliminary decisions are sent privately, stating the criterion, the factual reason, the internal evidence reference and how to appeal.
Appeals
You have five working days to appeal. Two authorised staff members are required for every final Red decision.
Final eligible list
The final eligible list is confirmed by 14 July 2027.
Free prize draw
The free prize draw takes place on 15 July 2027, with independent witness confirmation.
A note on fairness
An allegation, complaint, rumour or automated alert alone never causes disqualification. Minor correctable errors create Amber status with a reasonable deadline, not disqualification. Safeguarding reports, whistleblowing, grievances and protected disclosures are never treated as reputation damage.

The final draw
How the Free Prize Draw Works
No purchase, payment, donation or financial contribution is required to enter. This is a free prize draw for our own team.
Meet every mandatory rule and you receive one entry. Verified positive feedback can add up to two more entries, capped at 3.
The final eligible list is confirmed by 14 July 2027 and the draw takes place on 15 July 2027 using a verifiably random method, with an independent witness and a preserved audit record.
Your eligibility status, evidence and entry total are private. You can ask the office for your own details at any time.
Meet the standards. Stay consistent. Earn your place in the free prize draw.
- 1 entry — every mandatory rule met.
- +1 entry — verified client, family or professional feedback.
- +1 entry — verified colleague recognition.
Fairness
A Fair and Transparent Competition
- The same published rules apply to every carer, and to full-time, part-time, zero-hours and fixed-term colleagues equally.
- Every decision is supported by documented, verified evidence and a completed fair process.
- Only substantiated serious or repeated breaches can lead to a final Red status — two authorised staff must approve it.
- Minor correctable errors create Amber status with a reasonable corrective deadline, and honest near-miss reporting is not a failure.
- Preliminary decisions are private, and you have five working days to appeal before anything is final.
- Reasonable adjustments are available for disabled employees at every stage.
A message to our team
Every Visit Matters
- Every act of kindness matters.
- Every client treated with dignity matters.
- Every record completed correctly matters.
- Every training session completed matters.
- Every colleague supported matters.
- Every day of reliable care matters.
This is more than a competition. It is a celebration of the people who make Harmony Homecare Suffolk special.
Your journey
The Harmony Heroes Journey
Meet the mandatory standards, complete one small Harmony contribution for each active competition month, earn CREWDRIVE badges and build your Harmony Heroes Journey.
Participation is completely voluntary, but we would love every Harmony carer to be represented and celebrated.
One small contribution a month
Choose from ten friendly options — mentoring a colleague, an improvement idea, a CREWDRIVE example, a referral, an approved event and more. One approved contribution per active month.
- · Help or mentor a colleague
- · Submit a service-improvement idea
- · Support an approved recruitment activity
- · Make a qualifying referral
- · Complete a short learning or reflection activity
CREWDRIVE badges and levels
Badges recognise how you live our values. Consistent months build your level.
- · Gold Harmony Hero — 9 months
- · Silver Harmony Hero — 6 months
- · Bronze Harmony Hero — 3 months
- · Journey Started — 1 month
A badge never cancels a mandatory safety or employment requirement.
Private by design
Your journey lives behind your own private link. Contributions, badges and eligibility status are never shown publicly, and never include client details.
You have one month from your employment start date to join once you are invited — and in every case registration closes on 31 December 2026. Nobody employed after that date can take part. Colleagues on authorised leave, or who never received their invitation, can ask the office for a documented extension. Participation is completely voluntary. Choosing not to participate will not affect your rota, pay, professional opportunities or employment.
