Privacy policy.

What information this website collects, how it's used, and your rights over it.

Who we are

This website is operated by Aid Homecare Limited, trading as Harmony Homecare Suffolk, of Office 4c, Rosemary House, Lanwades Business Park, Kennett, Newmarket, CB8 7PN. For any question about this policy or your information, contact us at manager@harmonyhomecaresuffolk.co.uk or 01284 663006.

Information collected on this site

This site collects information in a small number of specific ways:

  • Cookie consent choice. When you accept or reject non-essential cookies via our cookie banner, we store that choice (accepted or rejected, and the date) in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on your next visit. This choice is stored on your device and is not sent to us.
  • Request Care and Join Our Team forms. When you submit our care request or careers forms, the information you enter (such as your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry) is collected via Cognito Forms, a third-party form provider, and passed to our office so we can respond to you.
  • Carers of the Year competition. Where staff register interest in our internal Carers of the Year competition, the registration details submitted are stored in our secure database (provided by Supabase) so we can administer the competition.
  • Website reviews. If you leave a review on our Reviews page, we collect your star rating, the display name you choose, your relationship to Harmony, your review text, your email address, and a phone number if you choose to give one. Your email address and phone number are used privately only to verify the review and to contact you about it — they are never displayed on the website and are never shared publicly. Your review text, rating, display name and relationship may be published on this website only if you tick the publication consent box and only after a member of our team has checked the review. We record which version of that consent wording you agreed to and when. Nothing is published automatically. Where a review contains something confidential, we may make a minimal privacy-preserving edit (for example removing a phone number) before publishing; we never change the meaning of what you wrote. Review data is not added to any email marketing list. You can ask us to correct or remove your review at any time using the contact details above.

Cookies

We use a cookie consent banner to ask for your preference before setting any non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer. If — and only if — you press "Accept", we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to measure how the site is used, such as pages viewed and general usage patterns. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not sell your information. The Google tag is present on every page, but it starts with Google Consent Mode set to "denied", so no analytics or advertising cookies are set and we record nothing until you press "Accept" (Google may still receive limited cookieless signals in that state). If you reject cookies or withdraw your consent, we deny consent again immediately and its cookies are removed. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.

Why we use your information

We use the information you give us to respond to enquiries about care or employment, to administer services we provide, and — where you've consented — to understand how our website is used so we can improve it. We rely on your consent for non-essential cookies, and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and administering services you have asked to take part in, such as the Carers of the Year competition.

Sharing your information

We share information with the specific third-party providers named above (Cognito Forms and Supabase) only as needed to operate the relevant form or feature. Reviewer email addresses, phone numbers and our internal moderation notes are only accessible to authorised Harmony staff. We do not sell your personal information.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to ask for your information in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.

ICO registration

Our Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) registration number is available on request from the office. If you have a concern about how we handle personal information that we haven't resolved, you can also complain to the ICO directly.
