Openness & governance

How we measure care quality.

A care provider asking you to trust them with a parent or partner should be willing to show its working. Here is our regulatory evidence, the metrics we track, and — just as importantly — an honest account of what we haven't yet published.

Why we publish our own numbers

Choosing home care is one of the most consequential decisions a family makes, often at a stressful time. Marketing language is easy to write; independent evidence is not. Rather than ask you to take our word for it, this page brings together the regulatory record that already exists about us, alongside the operational metrics we are building the processes to measure and publish for ourselves.

Where we have a genuinely verified figure, we show it with the exact definition of what was counted and where it comes from. Where we do not yet have a verified figure, we say so plainly rather than estimate or round something up to look better. We would rather be trusted for our honesty than impressive for a number nobody can check.

Independent regulatory evidence

We are inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. CQC inspects providers against five key questions and publishes a full report with a rating for each. Our overall rating from CQC is Good, from the report published 19 September 2024.

The five key questions CQC assesses are Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. Individual ratings for each of these domains — not just the overall rating — are set out in full in our published CQC report. We link to it directly below rather than summarise the domain ratings ourselves, so you can read CQC's own words.

How we collect this

Visit timing and continuity figures, where published, are drawn from our electronic call-monitoring and rostering records rather than self-reported estimates. Complaints figures come from our complaints register, which every formal complaint is logged against regardless of outcome. Training compliance is drawn from our staff training matrix, which tracks every mandatory module for every active carer. Review ratings are calculated directly from the testimonials we choose to publish on our Reviews page — we are transparent that this is not an independently audited satisfaction survey.

Update cadence

The Registered Manager reviews and refreshes this page every quarter. A metric only changes from "measurement in progress" to a published figure once it has been checked against source records for that period. Next scheduled update: April 2026.
