Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Aid Homecare Limited, trading as Harmony Homecare Suffolk ("we", "us", "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on harmonyhomecaresuffolk.co.uk (the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as browser local storage) can store small amounts of information in your browser for the same purposes. They help websites work correctly and remember your preferences.
What we use
Strictly necessary items, stored in your browser's local storage:
- hhs-cookie-consent — records whether you accepted or rejected cookies so the banner does not appear on every page. Stored on your device only; not sent to us or any third party.
- hhs-language — remembers which language you chose to read the site in, so you don't have to pick it again on every page. Stored on your device only; not sent to us or any third party.
Marketing cookies — only loaded if you press "Accept" and visit a selected general brand, recruitment or Carers of the Year competition page:
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) — helps us understand which of our Facebook and Instagram adverts bring people to selected general pages. It may set cookies such as _fbp and share approved page views and contact-click methods with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. We intentionally do not load Meta Pixel or send Meta events from care-service, condition-specific, care-request, funding, discharge, local-care or other sensitive care-intent pages. Form content and health information are not sent to Meta through the Pixel. Nothing is loaded or sent to Meta unless you accept cookies and are on an approved page. If you later press "Reject", we withdraw consent, stop events and delete _fbp/_fbc cookies.
Analytics cookies — only loaded if you press "Accept":
- Google Analytics 4 — helps us understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read and how they move around it, so we can improve the information we publish. When it is switched on, it sets first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which tell repeat visits apart without identifying you by name. The Google tag is present on every page, but it starts with Google Consent Mode set to "denied": until you press "Accept", no analytics or advertising cookies are set and no page views are recorded by us. While storage is denied, Google may still receive limited cookieless signals (for example that consent was declined). If you later change your choice to "Reject", we deny consent again immediately, stop sending analytics events and remove these cookies from your browser.
If you reject cookies, or have not yet made a choice, no analytics or advertising storage is used: the Meta Pixel is not loaded at all, and the Google tag stays in a consent-denied state with no cookies. You can change your mind at any time using the button below.
Managing your choice
You can change your choice at any time using the button below. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings to reset your choice.
